    Password Change Recovery

For some unknown reason, the FusionPBX password changed. I know I did not do it on purpose. So now I need to recover. Going to the documentation, I followed the instructions for Password Reset, but the documentation contains errors as to what should happen and it appears impossible to...

Thank you. I'll go back over the configuration again. It will take me a little bit.

Thank you for that. It was much further into the device interface options than I had traveled before. Good to know. Hope this helps.

Sorry, was still fooling around with it. By the way, where do I find the base station's logs?

    It states "Register Failed".

    Proper Order of Configuration Steps

Okay, Daz, I am trying another option. Please let me know what you think. I went to my fiber route/gateway device, as supplied by our ISP. In the settings was an area the allows port forwarding. My SIP service provider gave a list of IP addresses to services they provide and said they needed...

    Proper Order of Configuration Steps

Yes, thank you. I did notice all that and a little more. I am in the process of documenting all this and will adapt your good insight into my situation. I'll let you know how it works. In a little bit I will see if the log helps me.

    Proper Order of Configuration Steps

@markjcrane The standard is not what you or I think. It is what is intuitive. Bad GUIs are a dime a dozen, and their existence does not make them right. When a GUI fails to be intuitive, it can only, at best, be partially helpful and at worse, be totally misleading. Failing to abide by this...

This account number is not valid

When I dial out on my Yealink W60P system, I get a message saying "This account number is not valid". It is a woman's voice. I do not know where it is coming from; the PBX software or the Yealink phone. Has anyone heard of this before or know what it means?

My Yealink W60B base station cannot make the W56H handset connect to the PBX, so I must assume I have an incorrect connection configuration for the base station. Does anyone know what I should set in the base station web interface to make it work with my FushionPBX/FS system?

    Proper Order of Configuration Steps

Okay everyone. I have it all configured. I verified that the fiber gateway is correctly pass the connection with my provider because they see the PBX as registered FreeSWITCH, and the FusionPBX interface shows the trunk (gateway) as REGED. So now I have to get my Yealink W60B working with the...

    Proper Order of Configuration Steps

As promised, I muddled thru. I found your presentation a novel method. It was different from what I expected, and it differs from the flow as implied by the layout of Fusion's GUI. Yes, I do recognize now, as I had assumed prior to this, that the GUI client needs a redesign. It also needs a...

    Proper Order of Configuration Steps

@DigitalDaz Thanks much for the efforts you put forth, Good Buddy. I appreciate it. But I must let you know that you did the same as others; you created a video that I cannot see because of the tiny details. Since I cannot zoom in on a video, I could barely make out any detail at all. Then...

    Proper Order of Configuration Steps

Okay, got the inbound configured. Now my phone needs reconfig for some reason. By the way, does Fusion know which brand and model of phone is connected?

Then why didn't the darn interface just say what it means. Some help it is if you have to translate destination to mean DID number. Duh! Good heavens.

But that seems crazy. How would I know the outgoing number..... Oh wait. You mean the number that people on the outside are trying to call into?

Now, if I only knew what to put in the Destination field.....

    Proper Order of Configuration Steps

Okay, it looks like I got the gateway configured because both the PBX and the provider say that it is registered. That sounds good. I created an extension number 10. Then I fiddled with the incoming and outgoing dialplan settings. Made one of each. When I try to dial one of my phone numbers...

    Proper Order of Configuration Steps

Bless you, Brother. What a helpful thing to do! I'll look forward to that. Please just remember to use as low a resolution as you possibly can. That method gives us the highest common denominator.
