What is the significance of the use of the word "Forward" in the Dashboard? I understand call forwarding, of course, but do not understand why the word is used as it is. For instance, there is a section entitled Call Forward and Ring Group Forward. Thanks.

A very interesting and usable visualization. Especially for people familiar with a web server.

I like to visualize it as a series of pipes, connected from here to there and from there to here. Another is the old operator switchboard where the operator pulled a cable and plugged it in somewhere to complete a connection. I assume most of you are too young to know about that. :)

What does "context" mean in a dialplan. It appears to mean a branch, but could mean section from what I've read.

@DigitalDaz , you are quite right. The wiki is outdated and hard to follow. Why anyone wouldn't want it updated is beyond me. Worse yet are people willing to freely do the job and the owner refuses to let them. I find that bizarre.
