    Installation on Debian 12

By default, the installer chooses to build from the source code so if your installation was built from the code you may be ok. The only concern is how it is set up and if the end-user will bother to re-configure it for themselves properly and securely.

    Installation on Debian 12

I should also mention that in config.sh I upped the database version to 15 and it works perfectly. I had existing instances that still had version 11 running and it did require me to use the updated modified pull and simply shutting off 11 and running 15 as they both cannot run at the same time...

    Installation on Debian 12

On config.sh I upped the freeswitch version to 1.10.10. Not relevant for just 12 but on IPtables I added one line for port 10000 for Webmin, if they can have a VPN rule why not add a Webmin rule?. For php.sh I added a section identical to Bullseye for Bookworm starting at line 65, example...

    Installation on Debian 12

Mark, I was able to modify three files minimum and specified the latest version of freeswitch which does support 12 as you thought. The only issue with 12 is on Debian's end in that they do not install rsylogd by default, they use the journal instead so it breaks fail2ban so rsyslog should be...

    Installation on Debian 12

PHP 8.1 Is available for Debian 12 on the external repository but there are some things I had to modify in order to have it do a clean Debian 12 install. I had to modify three files but I modify more do it puts in the desired admin password, the desired database password, and the desired domain...

Thanks Mark. Hopefully ioncube will upgrade soon.

    Installation on Debian 12

I tried a clean install in a Virtual Machine and modified scripts to use PHP 8.2 by default as well as other tweaks. To do this you leave off the last command that is given from the && part of the fusionpbx download link and it will download the source to /usr/src. One can invoke the installer...

    Freeswitch and endpoint NAT detection

Interesting. May I ask what ISP? In my case it does not matter whether TLS over 5061 is used or udp over 5060.

    Freeswitch and endpoint NAT detection

I'm in the same situation as I indicated and I have experienced it in three similar situations. First, I was on assignment in Moses Lake, Wa, and had fiber and static IPs, the sip phones were on a LAN, and the firewall/router controlling that LAN used one of the static IPs on WAN. My FusionPBX...

    Freeswitch and endpoint NAT detection

Do you get incoming calls to these extensions from the outside? I have dealt with this as well but it results in more than just extensions not being able to call each other. It also prevents the extensions from ringing when calls from outside come in. My FusionPBX sits on its own external...

SOLVED information about incoming short numbers

It should be noted that a recent update in the last few days sets the default to ${sip_to_user} since the sip request user was not working out as expected.

    Hello from Germany

Hello back to you from California USA, nice to see you here. I happen to be of German descent myself.

    two or more providers

That's how I do it. For instance I route all my toll free calls and 911 calls through BulkVS and all my toll calls through Anveo Direct. In both cases they are set to NOT register and the username and password since FusionPBX thinks it should be there is to put not-used as the user and password...

    Transcription option

Oh yes, if one doesn't and there is a database field change, it could leave a few features in a broken state or not add new ones. I run it without data ticked first to see what changes, if any there are but I run data types after that just to be sure and then the other three as you said. I also...

SOLVED information about incoming short numbers

Yep, you pointed me in the right direction, it is under caller-details and it shows changes I made in default settings under dialplan. Thank you very much!

SOLVED information about incoming short numbers

My issue is similar and started happening when I did the upgrade where this was added. I was able to change it in default settings but in the dialplan I cannot seem to find the section you showed below the destination default setting screenshot. What is it called in the dialplan? I don't wish to...

Vocemail now can be sent to multiple email addresses

In recent commits, the ability to have multiple comma separated email addresses to have voicemail send either files or links etc if one chooses to do so has been added.

Conditions now available for destinations in master branch.

This is something I wanted so I could conceivably set an IVR to make people press a digit but also put higher priority destinations for specific CIDs. Or when on do not disturb, allow only certain callers through. The only condition that can be set as of yet is caller id. Ideally if I were to...

    CDR Import

I have a unique situation where I have had to revert to my backup FusionPBX server running on a VPS instance. I was working remotely for 7 months and while away from home, my FusionPBX hardware box was not set up properly to deal with power outages as far as starting back up when the power...
