    - If you use the browser web install then you need to have the /etc/fusionpbx/ writable to www-data until after the update. - Then set it back to when you are done Other option is to run it from command line under root user like this.

Upgrade from 4.4 to 5.0.1 list missing from Dialplan >> Destinations >> Actions

The Restore Default only defaults the default groups so your custom groups are safe. The only chance of issues for your custom groups would be if we created a new default group with the same name. When you edit a default group there is now a box to protect individual permissions.

    FusionPBX dead?

FusionPBX 5.0.1 was released on Apr 27, 2022. So this means it has not been a year yet. The FusionPBX 5.1 release will be this month April 2023 likely a few days or weeks before it has been one year. Master branch versions are currently on 5.0.10. Here are the recent commits showing there is...

Upgrade from 4.4 to 5.0.1 list missing from Dialplan >> Destinations >> Actions

You need to run Menu -> Advanced -> Upgrade Schema. Or run this command on the command line. php /var/www/fusionpbx/core/upgrade/upgrade.php Then in Menu -> Group Manager -> Restore Default Logout and back in and it should show up. Plan to release version 5.1 in April 2023

Accessing database variables from inside Dialplan

If you want to add variables for a specific domain then you would add those variables to a dialplan that is now called domain-variables. It used to just be called variables however when I added a global variables dialplan it made sense to rename it to domain-variables. These are channel...

IVR prompt - not working on iphone

If you have a new enough version of FusionPBX and likely you do if you have this issue. There is a setting for Default Settings for this. If you didn't skip the required Menu -> Advanced -> Upgrade -> App Defaults (finds missing settings and adds them) or can use php...

IVR prompt - not working on iphone

You have to find out what type of DTMF your VoIP provider is supporting. FreeSWITCH uses rfc2833 by default. Instead of guess look at documentation from your VoIP provider or put in a ticket and ask them what type they are using. Most VoIP providers use rfc2833 so its not a problem in most cases.

Inbound route changes from destination_number to sip_to_user for domain

The destination_number doesn't work for every VoIP provider. Even for providers it does work for it may not work in every scenario. The reason for the change is when someone us has a phone that is forwarded like a mobile phone and a SIP diversion header is used then destination_number will...

    Teams Integration

kobyhud Saw your message today and created this commit. Hope it helps make it easier for someone So in attempt to make this easier I removed the contact-params from the sip-transport section. Then commited it as a seperate parameter that is defined in gateway edit page. This means people won't...

    Other multi tenant pbx

As far as hard for the user there are several hundred permissions you can withhold so that the user has less options. I am aware of the template approach in fact the fusionpbx browser based install uses it. The install can also be used to recover access in case you forget the superadmin...

    Other multi tenant pbx

When I started FusionPBX there were 7 or 8 interfaces for FreeSWITCH. This is the most complete list I've seen. https://developer.signalwire.com/freeswitch/FreeSWITCH-Explained/Client-and-Developer-Interfaces/Freeswitch-GUI/#-freeswitch--freeswitch-gui- It takes enormous dedication, effort...

The reason I use the compile instead of the package for FreeSWITCH is to prevent having to do the extra steps that the signalwire token requires. How many people will not want to go through the extra effort? I'm guessing a 70 to 80% drop out rate if the token is required. That is why I use the...

On some domains dialplan not being parsed at all

This forces you into using number alias so you can call extensions with a number. I don't recommend using number alias. Attackers almost always go after the IP address rather than the domain name. For this reason in latest version of FusionPBX Event Guard automatically blocks registration...

    denian 11 installation error

Impossible for FusionPBX its not the one communicating with the SIP protocol. The FusionPBX sends configuration information to FreeSWITCH and then FreeSWITCH handles the SIP messages. I would recommend using IP authentication for Gateways and if you have to use Registration on a Gateway use them...
