Gateway parameter "ping" with value 60 will generate one every minute toward the gateway.

No. Just curious, what are people stuck on? I haven’t seen a write up for freeswitch specifically but configuring the profile and gateway according to the Microsoft SBC specifications document worked fine for me. Disable REFER because freeswitch can’t handle the odd REFER that the MS gateway...

I have two installations that prove otherwise. I thought maybe you gained some extra features by inserting the proxy.

Does kamailio/opensips give some advantage over a direct connection between FreeSWITCH and Teams?

I guess this is where you burn your bridge using insults because the volunteer community didn't do enough to assist you out of their own good will. I think you have some things to learn about how user forums work. Have you ever been on one before? We tried to guide you a bit; sorry it didn't...

I said this in another thread and I think I need to repeat it here. Use the software and figure it out through trial and error and the documentation that exists. That's what we all do. Trying to precisely define every term you see is going to be a frustrating and futile effort. (and you'll...

What does this mean? Do you mean the default dashboard layouts? After you have gone through and set up some components of the system I think the dashboard becomes more obvious. Maybe spend some more time setting up a lab configuration and see if it makes more sense to you then.

    Proper Order of Configuration Steps

Would you use the same analogy to describe a web server? Because a SIP PBX is much more like a web server than a set of analog circuits or pipes. Consider a web server listening on the internet for requests. An HTTP GET request comes in with the path "/about" so the web server looks through its...

    Proper Order of Configuration Steps

I don't see a major difference in complexity. They are just different functions altogether. Best to keep them separate in your mind.

    FreeSWITCH forum

Would anyone be interested in a FreeSWITCH (without FusionPBX) forum? I'm posting to say that I would. :) The Signalwire slack & IRC are pretty dead for FreeSWITCH help and the mailing list is what it is, but there's no forum out there that has a FreeSWITCH focus.
