Does anyone have a zero-to-hero messages app integration with FusionPBX + Groundwire for SMS?

I've tried setting it up but ultimately decided on Ringotel app integration instead.

Doesn't this solution require completeting 10DLC and Campaigns with the providers?

Yes, that is required in the United States for SMS messages. It's unfortunate, in my opinion, that everyone who wants to use SMS gets forced into signing up for a campaign even if they aren't doing a campaign of any kind. I believe this is government overreach. Hoping that regulations like this are dropped at least for non-campaign SMS.

For this reason, I plan to expand the Messages feature beyond SMS and add other messaging options. I'm interested in bypassing the PSTN since it is being ruined by excessive regulations.

Does this SMS solution have any of the required opt-out and help capabilities?

Those were added to support the false assumption that everyone is doing a campaign when they use SMS. The campaigns don't even have a category for conversational SMS. I'm not building a mass campaign SMS tool. I'm not interested in making software for SMS spammers.
  • When you buy a mobile phone do you have to sign up for a campaign?
  • Does your mobile phone give you an opt-out when you send a message to someone in your contacts?
    • The receiver can report spam SMS messages on their phone but I haven't seen an opt-out
A forced campaign for those who aren't even using it for a campaign seems to be to support the interests of a few very large corporations and limit competition.

I agree with you. But to be approved to use SMS with the providers you must provide opt out and help in your samples.

You have made your point, and an opt-out makes sense for a campaign.

On a different note, the messages feature I'm developing will not be focused on insecure and highly regulated SMS.

The US government required backdoors into the PSTN. Backdoors are irresponsible to put into software because they will eventually be found and used by other unauthorized people. This has already happened and is happening now. It is known that the backdoors are being used. The PSTN is not private. People need to realize their SMS messages and calls on the PSTN are not private. A little searching with a search engine can confirm this.
