Voicemail - Keep Local - Issue

I installed fusionpbx from 0, enabled the voice mailbox for an extension and have a very strange behaviour:
If I enter an address in the mail field and receive a mail to send the voice message to, the message is not kept on the server but is deleted after a few seconds. I have also enabled the ‘Keep Local’ setting but the behaviour does not change. Can someone help me to fix this behaviour?

I tried to debug all the code in voicemail.lua and the other functions that are called. From there, the os.remove function is never invoked. But using a watchdog on the var/lib/freeswtich/voicemail folder... I am notified after creating a delete a few seconds after sending the mail (which happens correctly). So I'm sure a delete is called somewhere, fs_cli even at loglevel 9 doesn't give me much help.
