Hi All.

I've got a problem where setting a custom ringback for incoming calls doesn't work.
I setup a ring group, with extensions, and set the custom ringback file(WAV 16bit 8000Hz mono).

If I dial the ring group from an extension, the custom ringback works as expected.
If i dial in from outside, I get normal ringback.

Also tried setting it under greeting. Works fine when phoning internally, but not from outside.

Any ideas?

Hi. Did exactly the same, even tried the provided ring backs, au-ring, be-ring.... It works when phoning from extension to ring group, but not when phoning from outside. Don't see any errors on fs_cli.

Hopefully someone else can shed some more light on the issue, works for me.
Convert the file to required bitRate and format using audacity

We use Yealinks and set the distinctive ring in the ring group which has a field and use http://www.notused.com;info=ringer1 and then provision in the handset

account.1.alert_info_url_enable = 4
phone_setting.ring_type = Ring4.wav

if there is an issue with playing the file, you will see it in the fs_cli. When Freeswtch can't play a file for whatever reason it defaults to the default MOH. Fs_cli will hopefully show you the error and guide you in the right direction.

Hi, Thanks for the feedback.
I've seen fs_cli complain about files when they're not the correct format, but for this file(16bit 8000hz.wav), whether i dial the ring group from an extensions, or I dial from outside and hit the ring group, the feedback from fs_cli is the same as below.
Only difference is, when I dial from extension it works, but not when phoning in??

If you share the file, I'll test it on my server and see if I get a different result.

I would love to share the file, but I know the client paid for this audio, and not sure if I've got the rights to share it publicly...
The thing is, even if I try the available ring backs, like au-ring, be-ring, bong-ring, I get the same results. It will only play the custom ring back when phoning internally.

I tested a recording on my server. It plays fine in both cases. I'm on a slightly modified FusionPBX 5.1 and Freeswitch 10.11
