Retrieve deleted voice files

Hai all,

I am looking for help, mistakenly I deleted the domain from the /var/lib/freeswitch/recordings folder. Is there any option to retrieve the entire voice files? Your help will be much appreciated.

There are (were) some Linux deleted file recovery tools, I used them many many years ago with some success but can't remember the details now. It will probably depend on your filing system type, and it is also very important that the disk is not written to until you recover the files.

I would try a Google search for something like "Linux undelete file". or "ext4 recover deleted file".

Normally we will do s3 synchronization and for this server, we missed that.

As Adrian said, there are some linux tools but its always going to be very, very messy and unless you had stopped the disk being written to, you will lose stuff anyway. I don't even think the tools that do recover actually get the full filename.
