Pure voice quality when recording is ON

Hello

We are running FusionPBX with the following version

The system is running on Proxmox VM

When enabling "Call Recording" on particular extension - customer is experiencing bad quality of the calls

This is the only difference with other extensions at the same location

We did packet capture and no packet loss

What can be possible causing it ?

I can't really help, but bear in mind that it's not all about CPU usage, you have to consider other factors like I/O blocking.

You don't say what codec is being used and if it is the same on both legs of the call (transcoding). The type of codec does have an impact on the amount of work the box has to do to record the call.

Thank you for your response

I have verified that we are not transcoding - both legs are using G.711
