Just another Provisioning Isuue Thread

Hi Guys,

I am a bit stomped on this one i am having an issue provisioning older yealink models they just wont provision with https only http.
Example i can provision a Yealink T46s just fine with https://myserver.com/app/provision but a T46g wont.
Other models like Grandstream, Fanvil,etc. also provision just fine.

Any ideas

Some phones like Polycom will fail to provision using https if you dont have a valid cert. Is there any difference between the firmware versions of the Yealink phones?

Maybe one has older firmware than the other, making the https prov work on one but not the other.

It worked before previously provisioned on the same server with https

For Yealink try this: log into the phone and go to Security tab, got to Trusted Certificates and change Only Accept Trusted Certificates

Still doesn't work for T41P and T46G

Firmware being the latest to ensure the CA is valid on the phone is one thing. Does the syslog of the Yealink shed any light on the situation? Sometimes the Yealinks can be a dream, sometimes they'll do wacky stuff stuff like send incorrect HTTP auth details. I seemingly recall a difference between the URI being /app/provision and /app/provision/ too, this was a while back so my memory is a bit fuzzy.

Actually try the opposite of this and set it to disabled, especially if you're using a self signed cert. It's theoretically less secure as the phone will accept any cert, but for the purposes of troubleshooting I'd give it a try.

Thanks for the reply but same issue both ways. In the yealink t46G syslog it says handshake failure but my t46S provisions fine
