I'm pretty new at this so forgive the newb question.

I've set up with a sip provider ip based authentication. I've got incoming working (allowed the providers ip in acl).

Now how do I set up outgoing? Do I create a gateway with no authentication?

Any help really appreciated.

You create the gateway as normal, set registration to no and insert a dummy username and password.

Cool. Once again thanks very much Daz!

It seems very strange in this day and age that sip/rtp isn't encrypted. Even with no authentication ip based trunking, you would think there would be some type of authentication as an added precaution of attacks etc.

But then again I could be wrong ;)

You are :) If your provider supports it you can do TLS for the signalling and SRTP for the audio :p

That's great to know...none of the providers I've spoken to mention it.

I'll definitely bring that up.

By the way I guess you are mentioning this because fusion supports TLS?
