Helo everybody
I need some help for an issue , after setting the voip provider settings an creating the inbound destination
when the caller call the destination he doen't here at the ringing sound , until the callee took the lines .
Can someone tell me when I can set to fix this ssue?

It's probably dead music on hold. Can you explain your trunk settings (screenshots or XML output), and if its going to a ring group or a queue and if MOH is defined in the destinations? Be sure to obfuscate any sensitive info.

Without seeing your configuration it's impossible to know what the issue might be. FS sends early media so there's something else going on. It's going straight to the extension and not a ring group right? Can you post the configuration you have without sensitive info?

Also do you have any CLI output? Use the code tags in the forum when responding so it's easy to read.

At the Freeswitch CLI do this:

sofia loglevel all 9
sofia global siptrace on

Paste the results in pastebin or something once the call is made and obfuscated. In your inbound routes page, what does that config look like? Is it in the public context?

And you said this is a SIP URI call? Not a regular trunked call? You may have to force the ring-back sound.

same issue the caller doesn't hear any ring

Use caution with the above solution, this should only be needed in very rare use cases and you could well be masking another problem that may come back and bite you.

Hate to open an older thread, but i'm having this issue.

I have added instant_ringback=true after destination_number but it had no effect. Below is my xml. I am transferring to a time of day option (401), which depending on when sends to an extension 120 or extension 102. The play tone stream was my attempt to edit the inbound route and add us-ring to it.

I fixed the issue by changing the Time condition extension to use a ring group. I setup to two ring groups. and it now works. Not sure that's really a fix, but a work around.

Setting instant_ringback didn't work for me . I switched to ring groups, that worked for me.

However, if I wanted to to set an inbound directly to an extension, tied to a desk phone I wouldn't want to create a ringgroup each time.

I'm using skyetel and followed their setup instructions.

Having the issue, too. Does anyone else have any knowledge about this?

(Rant: I have found that digging for detailed explanatory information for troubleshooting FreeSWITCH is, frankly, fruitless and, IMHO, I do think that the FreeSWITCH project needs to allocate resources to work towards completing up-to-date documentation for the current major version/milestone.)
