Hi All,

I am having a weird one I keep randomly getting"Failed Registration with status Operation has no matching challenge [904]" on my gateways with a particular provider.

I have 3 gateways pointing at the same provider AAISP with different tenants which uses "voiceless.aa.net.uk" that address points to 2 VoIP servers IPs it seems for resilience. I thought it might have been because it will return with 2 different IPs, causing issues flip-flopping between the servers. I then tried directly with the hostname of one of the servers which isn't the way they want you to use it in case they take one of the servers down for maintenance but it still had the same issue with a host record that only points to one IP. I then gave up with DNS and pointed directly at that IP and it has not failed once since before it was making all the gateways pointing at the provider randomly go to fail_wait and try sometimes multiple times before registering again directly with IP. It seems to have no issues at all and the other gateways I have with other providers seem unaffected but I don't have multiple to the same like with AAISP.

So long story short has anyone else had issues using DNS name for a gateway,

Thanks all for any input.

Simon

Problem solved this was caused by IPv6 being left enabled in fusionpbx but I don't have IPv6 network-wise.

AAISP are ahead of the game as always and supports IPv6 which I believe my PBX was trying to register against and couldn't!

Lessons learnt either Disabled IPv6 Profiles or set up IPv6!

Hopefully, help someone else in the future
