Hello-

It appears that the Follow Me Caller ID option (see attachment) is not working in the latest Master branch which has been confirmed with the developer. He mentioned that I should be able to accomplish this goal by creating a dialplan but I'm just not sure on how to accomplish that exactly.

Could someone help please? :)

Link to the answer you're referring to.
It's good practice to source when you reference literally anything else in a question.

Uhmm what? There is nothing to "link" here as this issue I am bringing up was confirmed not working by Mark via an IRC conversation -- not a forum post.

Thanks for your forum posting 101 lesson though

Well James -- I'm sorry I didn't spell it out enough for you. I think the title of my post along with the screenshot I attached clearly states what I'm trying to do.

Title:
"Follow Me Caller ID Not Working in 4.5 Master"

Attached Screenshot:
"Select a number to override the original caller ID number"

Let me know if that still doesn't make sense to you and I'll be happy to dumb it down even further for your comprehension :)

Figured I'd bring this up again as this is a real problem for a number of my customers that relied on this feature -- mainly doctors who have an option to "page the doctor" from their afterhours auto attendant and need to know what is a personal call vs a business call when implementing follow me with a personal cellphone number.

Using GSWave isn't an option as it isn't reliable in my experience, even after changing the transmission to TCP and setting the registration timeout to two minutes.

This used to work so I would hope there is some way to implement this again.

So to reitterate my question -- can someone recommend a way to force the effective_caller_id of follow me or even forwarded calls to show the DIALED DID rather than the callers phone number?

Thanks!

Hey Daz

Thank you for the reply -- I tried your dialplan but unfortunately it didn't yield the result that I was looking for.

Basically, all I'm trying to do is pass the caller ID of the dialed DID rather than the caller's number when using Call Forwarding or Follow Me. Does that make sense?
