On October 2022 my outgoing faxes started to fail. After investigating I learn that Microsoft was disabling Basic authentication which meant, that IMAP was disabled, and since this is the protocol that Fusion Fax Server uses for sending faxes it started to fail. At that time, it was possible to request to Microsoft to enable the protocol, which I did, and then my faxes were being sent again.

Now, almost a week ago, I have the same problem, and now is not possible to request Microsoft to enable IMAP, since the deactivation is definitive.

I know that using other email providers like IONOS will work fine, since they are still allowing IMAP. But all my email accounts are Microsoft

I will like to know what is the work around in Fusion, which means, what configuration should be done, in order to be able to send faxes again.

Thanks in advance.

with 2FA/mfa ENABLED you can create AppSpecific password for email accounts.
I have not used AppSpecific passwords with Fusion but I have with printers and it works.

Good Luck
