We have a FusionPBX on a VM in the cloud with a public IP
we use Bandwidth.com as our SIP Trunking Provider (We are IP ACLed and do not use REGISTRATION)
We have several clients at different location with several phones each that connect to our phone system in the cloud
Everything works great except e911
The extensions have the proper Caller ID Name and Number for emergency and outbound
The tech at Bandwidth states that the SIP INVITE FROM is the problem
From: "MY CALLER ID NAME I SETUP" <sip:FreeSWITCH@100.100.100.100>
the IP is fictitious and just an example here
but the problem appears to be FreeSWITCH name in the FROM header
The tech told me it should be the Caller Number for example sip:1113339999@100.100.100.100
I'm not sure what needs to change to fix this, as I have the caller id already set in each and every extension.
I appreciate any feedback anyone can give us, and really appreciate the community here at PBX Forums for being so helpful.
