Im sure I saw a forum when googling a while back that had worked out a compatible product for the WF50 Wi-Fi dongle. I'm sure its a Realtek of some description.

Anyone using a third party dongle with success?

This may or may not apply, but for home use I've found that Ethernet over Powerline works a lot better than wi-fi. I get a small amount of packet loss with wi-fi, but zero packet loss with the powerline adapter. I'm using the TP-Link Powerline stuff.

100%.. I currently have a lot of people working from home that never did before. They all have trailing cat 5 cables from their routers which tend to be in their living rooms in the UK because they were installed to support there satellite / cable TV installations.

I have looked at the Yealink T41 Dect phone as a possible alternative however its still running 2.4Ghz and Im not really sure if that's as viable as it was pre wifi days.

I got a bunch of the dongles for a couple of quid each from China, I'll see if I can dig out the exact one.
