I am trying to set up valet parking on Yealink phones. I have enabled the valet parking rules, and can manually transfer a call to 5900, receiving the park extension in the process.

1. I am having difficulty putting this onto a key. I've set a key to "Call Park" with the value being "5900" and "park+5900". Both play the parked extension to the person being parked instead of the person doing the parking.

2. Is there a way to set valet park to round robin instead of first available? First available causes issues like:
person a1 calls in for a2
a1 gets parked on 5901
a2 is notified to pick up 5901
a2 is busy and doesn't get to it right away. a1 gives up and hangs up
person b1 calls in for b2
b1 gets parked on 5901
a2 picks up 5901 expecting a1, but gets b1 instead.

Thanks for any help you can provide!

In FusionPBX feature codes are prefixed with a star. For example: park+*5900. The reason for the * is that it prevents blocking a number like 5900 from being used for an Extension, Ring Group, or something else.

The problem with the auto park, where it picks the available parking slot, is that it announces the call in a way that requires Attended Transfer. So if you use Blind transfer, the caller hears where they are being parked, the person parking the call doesn't know where it went.

I don't think either form of park addresses the scenario that you described.

park+*5900, park+5900, and 5900 all seem to function identically.

So there's no way to solve either issue? Users are going to have to manually transfer to the valet park extension? This is going to be a big shift from our last two phone systems.

You are talking to me over text, so all options for valet parking haven't been explored.

Ok, I guess the question I'm asking is:

How do I create a button on a Yealink phone that will drop the caller into a parking lot and announce the parking lot number to the person that pressed the button?

On your yealink phones try setting the dss key to function as attended transfer. Under features/transfer.
