I am running Debian 10 and am having trouble renewing my wildcard SSL using these commands
cd /opt/letsencrypt
./letsencrypt-auto --config /etc/letsencrypt/configs/example.com.conf certonly

The system is reporting this error. How do I obtain/upgrade my ACME client?

The recommended way is to use Dehydrated, see the docs page:

I've tried using dehydrated and am still getting the same result

I think this might be the issue

I changed it to v02 and got further
