Setup SIP Trunk

Dear Experts,

I am new to FusionPBX and have not much experience on it.

I need to setup SIP Trunk with my provider.

Now i got connectivity from my provider to our Switch on inteface Gi 1/0/1
I got below information from Provider for SIP Configuration. (Dummy Entries as acutal entries are different so based on suggestions i will change)


Signalling IP Media IP

192.168.168.100 (CE)​	192.168.168.100 (CE)​
10.10.21.1 (Provider)​	172.0.0.1 & 172.0.0.2 (Provider)​

National Signaling IP ​	National Media IP ​
192.168.168.101 (CE)​	192.168.168.101 (CE)​
10.10.21.2 (Provider)​	172.0.0.1 & 172.0.0.2 (Provider)​

Now When i am trying to configure Gateways there are many fields which are required by FusionPBX which are username password and proxy mainly along with context.

Can someone please guide if we need to setup gateway or not and what about SIP Profiles how these will be managed ?

Signaling IPs are to be entered in ACL
If your trunk provider have give you login that would consist atleast 3 fields
Username/Password/sip provider url
add above three in their nominated fields in FusionPBX
If no sip credentials were given then u need to setup non registered trunk
Use dummy username / password but primary IP of yor trunk provider in place of proxy

so in this case i should allow 10.10.21.2 ip in acl ?

Also in gateway i need to setup same IP as proxy ?

and dummy username as user and password as user.


also advise if i need to setup sip profile as well ?

all signaling IPs in ACL
Primary IP in proxy textBox
DummyUser/MyDummyPassword
Set register status to False
Default sipProfiles should work since it is dependent of variables
If you have issue, change the variable of the following external profile to your server IP. You should not have to do this though
same applies for internal profile (some might disagree in this forum) but this is what works for me and has word for the last 8+ years
