Hi,

I'm handling a project where customer has an analog PBX with 74 extensions on a building, and want to integrate with Fusionpnx in front and expand extensions from there.
What would be the best tech aproach to integrate both togheter and do things like, tranfer calls from IP extension and analog extensions?
What do you think about the minimal list of features should accomplish to have a decent integration?

I'll be happy to document the project regards on design, knowledge reach and best practices.

Thanks in advance for colaborate with your ideas/experience!

That doesn't sound easy at all. A trunk between the two PBX is a start, and then a lot of routing must be implemented to have extensions talk to each other on both sides. You'd still have issues with many features because the two boxes are unlikely to play nicely with each other.

An easier route would be to implement an analog-to-SIP converter and eliminate the existing PBX. This way, you can connect all 74 existing phones to FusionPBX and save yourself a whole year of headaches. Then, slowly upgrade the analog phones to VoIP phones as time passes.
