When provisioning IP phones can I simply use a generic URL or does the URL need to be tenant-specific?

i.e. My fusion server is: pbx.mycompany.com

If my tenants are pbx.tenant1.com and pbx.tenant2.com can I use the URL above for the device provisioning or do I need to use the tenant-specific URL?

I use a DNS CNAME to resolve pbx.tenant1.com to pbx.mycompany.com and using the tenant-specific URL does work.

You don't have to use a tenant specific URL, the domain_uuid is obtained from the device record for the relevant MAC. In my opinion, it is always good practice to use a tenant specific URL, we always do. There are a few devices that don't reveal their MAC in a nice way so being able to get the domain from the HTTP_HOST header can be helpful.

Don't forget that you can copy the http_auth_username and http_auth_password from the default settings to the domain settings, this allows you to set the provision user ID and password on a per tenant basis.
