Doubts Voicemail to Email

Hello everyone, I have a question about voicemail to email.

For this functionality to work, just follow what is in the manual in this part?
Just changing the necessary values

Or do I need to install postfix or some other software and make some more settings?

The instructions shown is all that is needed. No additional software on the server is necessary.

I've never used it before and I'm going to test it for the first time.
Some tutorials on the internet end up installing Postfix and configuring it in fusionpbx, I don't know if it's because of the version of fusionpbx used in the tutorial.

The email_queue service is needed to send emails. You can check if emails have been sent from the menu Status -> Email Queue. On newer versions of FusionPBX, you also can test sending an email from that page.

Hi all, I am new to Fusionpbx but have done many asterisk based systems.

I also have an issue with emails not going out when a voicemail is left, new install 5.3.4 and configured smtp service, I can send a test email from Status, email queue and it works, I have set extension to send recorded file to email but it is not sent, under Default settings, email queue, enabled is set to boolean and True/True.

Check to see that the email_queue service is running. Also go to the menu then Status -> Email Queue and check the status.

Yes the email_queue.service is running and the gui queue status shows green with 0 email queue.

It seems like the voicemail is not sending to the email_queue.

I see this error but not sure were to change the setting.

Go to default settings and search for smtp_from you will see there are multiple settings make sure they have a value or disable the ones that are empty. The one that is required is under the email category.

I do have smtp_from set, if I don't set it I can not send a test email. test emails work only voicemail can't send email.

Should I have a setting somewhere for email_queue ?

I deleted server and started with fresh install and all is now working with the email queue, not sure what happened with the first one but I'll move on with more testing.
