Create custom user group/role

Is there a way to create a new group besides the pre-defined Admin, Superadmin, agent, user etc? I'm thinking in terms of granting access to the fax server only, and creating a FaxUser that has permissions to only that module.

Is anyone aware if that is possible?

Sure, Advanced → Group Manager → Click on the "+" to create a new group. Don't forget to modify the Menus in Advanced → Menu Manager for the new group.
