Cisco SPA BLF buttons going AMBER but phone is still registered and making calls

We are having issues with Cisco SPA BLF buttons randomly going amber on the phone itself, might be every 30 minutes. Although they go amber the button still works i.e. we can make a call to the extension, we have tested the register expire at 120 and 60 seconds, we have also tested TCP and UDP but this doesn't seem to make a difference. We have also changed our router UDP and TCP settings to 120 timeout. This is happening at 2 sites. We normally only use Yealinks, a rare case of having to work with the current Cisco handsets. Any ideas what could cause this? When this happens the line key (top button) remains green so its only the BLF buttons going amber. The phones are using the provisioning template.
