Ive set all my settings to grab firmware correctly I believe and in my access.log I can see it try 5 x 'GET' commands to grab the firmware but the phone doesn't actually upgrade it;s firmware, it just grabs the rest of it's config and registerd with account details...

HI James, thanks for your input. I'm trying to achieve this without relying on remote directory as the customers internal extension numbers/names can change on a regular basis. See the below thread for what I've tried so far, I seem to have got it working on Polycom phones, just not Yealink...

Update on this one after some testing. In the 'local_extension' dial-plan I added the below Tag = Action Type = Set Data = initial_callee_id_name=${user_data(${dialed_extension}@${domain_name} var effective_caller_id_name)} Break = Inline = Order = 38 I did not need to restart freeswitch...
