Setting up FusionPBX with Public IP

I believe you are going to need a SSL certificate since provising uses https. It's easy to setup following the let's encrypt section

Setting up FusionPBX with Public IP

I don't recall having to change that. Do you have a valid SSL cert installed? I don't believe those settings would make a difference for autoprovisioning but it could for actual calls themselves.

Setting up FusionPBX with Public IP

I followed the regular documentation at https://docs.fusionpbx.com/en/latest/ and that got me up and working on a public IP. Just go through it step by step. Everything worked fine for me.

    Emails not working

Looking at the screenshot now...says credentials are invalid so it doesn't like something. I'd still try another smtp server just to see if it works.

    Emails not working

Easiest thing first may be to make a Gmail or another account and try sending out from that. That would help point in the right direction based on if that worked or not. That's what I would try first. I'm on the lastest release and currently use Zoho with no issues.

    Vulnerability Update and Fail2Ban

Hi Mark, Thanks for taking the time to respond. I was looking back at prior posts and came across this: https://www.pbxforums.com/threads/upgrade-to-1-10-7.5743/ Having just upgraded my server because of the vulnerabilities I was concerned I missed something and had to make adjustments. I...

    Vulnerability Update and Fail2Ban

Changing it back to what it was - without the ^ at the beginning definitely banned me. So was this addressed already? Do I need to look anywhere else? Just worried if fail2ban is not working as it should. I am no regex ninja either!

    Vulnerability Update and Fail2Ban

Hi everyone, I updated my system the other day and I believe fail2ban is no longer working. I saw the thread from back in November where Freeswitch now includes the CPU% at the beginning of the line. From what I understood, adding ^ to the beginning of the regex should make it match again...

    SOLVED Asterisk vs FreeSwitch

Asterisk is not truly multi tenant so depending on your setup, that could be a con. It mainly starts becoming and issue when you need to keep locations separate. I've used FreePBX a lot and each install seemed different and had it's unique quirks. It works but having to have a separate server...

Include called number on inbound caller id

If I understand correctly, you just want to know what number the person called. As explained earlier, use the CID prefix and give it a specific name for that particular number. So 5555555555 is called you can put Line 1 or Primary or Secondary whatever you want to identify what number they are...

    Ubuntu 20.04 LTS

I noticed the download page for FusionPBX now has Ubuntu above Debian. Has there been an official change on what is recommended? I know Debian was first on the list beforehand. Just curious. I like the release cycle of the LTS versions and would consider moving over. Thanks!

What do these registrations mean? No "(NAT)", no outbounds??

I'm no expert but you can ash into the server and type fs_cli and it's the freeswitch log. It goes into more detail than the web gui

What do these registrations mean? No "(NAT)", no outbounds??

Some registration logs could help us determine what's going on.

What kind of firewall are the 4 behind? It's most likely a network issue on their side

    (Solved) Dehydrated problem

I'm not at my server to see but if I remember correctly I have to edit the virtual sites file (I believe somewhere under /etc/nginx/) and change the domain name from pbx.wasthis.com to pbx.isthis.com. Can confirm this evening if you can't get it.

    SMS

That was it completely. I didn't realize I needed that. I think "delivery status" threw me off. I was thinking delivery status reports. I am sending outbound and receiving now. Thank you for your help!
