SIP Trunk configuration between FreePbx and FusionPbx

I can't provide you a step by step instructional as I haven't done this personally, but it seems pretty straight forward I would imagine.. 1.) Create a SIP trunk on your FreePBX box to connect to your FusionPBX box. 2.) Create a Gateway on your FusionPBX box to connect to your FreePBX box. 3.)...

Call Detail Records - Caller Number

I noticed the same thing... sorta. The CDR records show the outbound caller ID of the extension number, rather than the extension number itself. My extension summary has data though and looks fine.. this change just makes searching through the CDR's now a bit cumbersome since I can't see the...

    Automated external backups

Ahh yes, it looks like you are moving your package directories over. I'd strongly recommend backing up your database as well. Call recordings and such are great but without a database backup in the event of a disaster, you're screwed :)

    Automated external backups

Hi Jeff I just configured this on my system today and it's working like a charm.. Make sure ftp is installed on your server first.. sudo apt-get install ftp Then just add the following lines to your fusionpbx-backup.sh script after the database backup portion of it. cd...

    Fail Over

If you use smart DNS and set your registration timers for your endpoints to 120 seconds -- phones will start to fail over within seconds, up to 2 minutes if the primary node becomes unreachable. I highly doubt you will be able to restore a VM that quickly.. especially if you have a good amount...

Do not prompt for voicemail password if dialed from the same extension?

NVM on this -- solved by using voicemail_authorized=true in the dialplan.

Do not prompt for voicemail password if dialed from the same extension?

In FreePBX it is possible to configure voicemail to not prompt for a voicemail password if the voicemail was dialed from the same extension. I'm not seeing a clear way of how to do this in FusionPBX -- is it possible? Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks!

PBX Not working when using the domain name, but works when I use the IP of the server

Does the domain name resolve correctly when you attempt to ping it? One way or another, this sounds like a DNS issue if you can register successfully via IP address.

    Linking PBX

You're saying that you have 5 PBX's in separate locations with extension numbers ranging between 300-320 with no overlapping extension numbers between the boxes, correct? If this is the case, that means you only have about 20 total extensions between all of these locations combined. If this is...

SOLVED Star codes incall not working

As long as your bind_digit_action order is lower than your outbound routes, you'll be fine. To make it global, just change the context as mentioned above.

SOLVED Star codes incall not working

Since your outbound routes have a default order of 100, it would be easier to set your bind_digit_action order to 90 under the dialplan, and change the context to ${domain_name} so it's a global setting. Make sense?

    Phonebook (Only supports Yealink currently)

This is JUST what I was looking for! Thank you Daz and Samael for creating this.. I feel like this should be be added to Fusion by default...the need for central phonebook is a must for alot of my customers. Being able to deploy that via auto provisioning makes my life easier. That API auth is...

SOLVED Star codes incall not working

Modcar- Enable the dialplan bind_digit_action Once that's done, set the order of this dialplan to a number lower than your outbound route... EX: My outbound routes are set for an order of 100, I set my bind_digit_action dialplan to 90 and it works.

Record call with *2 not working

Just to add to this, after you enable the bind_digit_action dialplan, you have to set the order of this dialplan to a number lower than the order of your outbound route. My outbound routes were set to the order number 100, so I set my bind_digit_action dialplan to 90. This was the step that I...

Call Recording - Call Quality Reduced and Glitchy

I agree..snapshots and restores are the biggest benefit of going virtual. However, you can set up a database and file level backup pretty easily along with a restore script to recover your machine in the event that you need to...

Call Recording - Call Quality Reduced and Glitchy

IMO running on a VM is best effort -- you never know if the hypervisor is the culprit of your issues. I used to run on AWS and had little anomalies that I couldn't explain or track down. I would go dedicated personally.. I went dedicated and haven't had a single issue since. You can get a...
